The Lynn Museum & Arts Center launches its 2025 Summer Series, celebrating the next generation of artists in Downtown Lynn
A Platform for the Next Generation
Final Fridays is back for summer 2025, and this time it’s specifically designed to amplify the voices of young creatives! The Lynn Museum & Arts Center is proud to announce the return of this vibrant monthly event series, which will take over the Downtown Lynn Cultural District from May through August.
Since its inception in 2020, Final Fridays has been a cornerstone for local artisans and creatives to showcase their talents and build community connections. This year, the series places special focus on highlighting the next generation of Black and POC artists, designers, musicians, and dancers who are actively shaping Lynn’s creative infrastructure.
“Step Into Your Power” – The 2025 Theme
This summer’s overarching theme invites all participants to explore what “stepping into their power” means for them personally and creatively. While the events are specially curated for the 16-25 age group, everyone is welcome to join the celebration of young artistic expression.
Best of all? Entry, food, and refreshments are entirely FREE! Each event will take place at Frederick Douglass Park in Lynn (with the Lynn Museum serving as the rain location) from 6 PM to 9 PM on the final Friday of each month.
Four Unique Events to Showcase Diverse Talents
The 2025 Final Fridays program features four distinctive events, each highlighting different art forms while maintaining the empowerment theme:
SPOKEN SOUL: May 30, 2025
Kick off the summer with an evening celebrating performance art, featuring sultry R&B and powerful spoken word performances. Attendees can participate in hands-on art activities, visit local vendors, and even share their talents during a short open mic section.
FASHION WEEK: June 27, 2025
Experience the creativity of local designers during an interactive outdoor fashion show! This event will spotlight emerging fashion talents with runway experiences, vendor booths, and special guest performances that push the boundaries of self-expression through clothing.
GRAFFITI GET DOWN: July 25, 2025
Witness artistic competition at its finest with a Live Art Battle featuring talented graffiti and street artists. The event includes vendor spaces, a dynamic interactive moving gallery experience, and energetic Hip-Hop performances celebrating urban artistic expression.
RHYTHM ROYALE: August 29, 2025
The grand finale collaborates with The Flavor Continues to host an exhilarating dance battle where one finalist will take home $500! Come for the competition, stay for the special guest dance performances and vendor marketplace.
