
Celebrating Music, Culture, and Community in the North Shore
The Lynn Music Foundation is proud to present the 2025 Lynn Film Festival, running from Wednesday, October 1st through Sunday, October 5th at The Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre (25 Exchange St., Lynn). This year’s festival celebrates the deep connection between music, culture, and community with an exciting lineup of films, performances, and special events.
Now in its second year, the Lynn Film Festival has grown into a cornerstone cultural event for the North Shore, bringing together filmmakers, musicians, youth, and community members to highlight Lynn’s vibrant creative spirit.

Lynn Film Festival Highlights
Day 1 – Wednesday, October 1
The festival kicks off at 6 PM with a Youth Showcase featuring films from Raw Art Works and FC Academy, spotlighting the next generation of storytellers.
Day 2 – Thursday, October 2: Lynn Hip Hop Night
A centerpiece of the festival, Day 2 begins with Jake Fay’s The Process at 6 PM, followed by the unveiling of the Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame mural at 7 PM. At 8 PM, the exclusive first draft screening of The Lynn Hip Hop Documentary by Edwin Cabrera & Mikey Abreu will premiere, telling the story of Lynn through the lens of Hip Hop and honoring the artists who helped shape its culture.
Day 3 – Friday, October 3
A celebration of punk and hardcore music with a double feature: Punk in Africa at 4 PM and Godfathers of Hardcore at 7 PM.
Day 4 – Saturday, October 4
At 4 PM, the festival screens Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten, a powerful film about Cambodia’s lost rock ‘n’ roll scene, followed by New Wave at 7 PM.
Day 5 – Sunday, October 5
The festival closes with All Things Must Pass beginning at 10 AM, followed by a chicken and waffles brunch and live performance by Big Ol’ Dirty Bucket at 12 PM. The festival concludes with We Want the Airwaves: A WFNX Story at 4 PM, celebrating the legendary alternative rock radio station.
