Lynn has a brand-new reason to celebrate this fall. On Saturday, September 20, the Millennium Latino Project (MLP) will host La Cultura Fest 2025 at Lynn Harbor Park, marking both Hispanic Heritage Month and MLP’s one-year anniversary.
The festival will take place at the park’s Activity Terrace, transforming the waterfront into a vibrant hub of food, music, art, and community pride. Think: local vendors serving up flavors from across Latin America, live performances that bring people to their feet, and a welcoming space where residents of all backgrounds can come together.

Why La Cultura Fest?
When MLP launched in September 2024, its founders, a pair of young Latino professionals, had a simple but powerful belief: our generation and the generations after us should take an active role in shaping the communities we live in. From day one, MLP has focused on collaboration, breaking down barriers, and creating opportunities that are open and approachable to everyone.
La Cultura Fest is the embodiment of that mission. It’s not just about celebrating Latino culture; it’s about celebrating the power of representation and inclusivity. The festival is designed to make everyone feel welcome, empowered, and connected, regardless of background.
About Millennium Latino Project

In its first year, MLP has already made a mark on Lynn by:
- Hosting peer-led education for entrepreneurs, helping to end the culture of gatekeeping.
- Bringing city leaders and community members together in informal settings that break down walls of intimidation.
- Partnering with LEAP for Education to teach youth about community organizing and the power of their voices.
- Creating platforms for entrepreneurs, small businesses, and professionals to share their work and grow their networks.

And, of course, launching La Cultura Fest, a cultural celebration designed to bring the whole city together.
Looking Ahead
La Cultura Fest 2025 isn’t just an event. It’s a milestone: a chance to reflect on what MLP has accomplished in just one year, and a promise of what’s still to come. The vision is bold but clear: a Lynn where representation is visible, collaboration is embraced, and no one feels excluded from the spaces shaping the city’s future.
So mark your calendars, bring your friends, and get ready to celebrate culture, community, and connection at Lynn’s Harbor Park this September 20th.
