1. Opening Reception | “The LGBTQ+ Pride Flag & Color Symbolism”

Start your visit to Lynn on Friday, June 2nd, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, by attending the Galleries at LynnArts (GALA) opening reception for its vibrant exhibit, “The LGBTQ+ Pride Flag & Color Symbolism”. This exhibit invites artistic expressions inspired by the colors of the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag, a symbol of intersectional diversity in the LGBTQ+ community since its creation in 1978.

The exhibit will run from June 2 – July 12 in the Community Gallery, a crucial stop on your Lynn visit. The gallery is open on Saturdays from 11 am-5 pm and Thursdays from 1-4 pm.

Enhancing your Lynn visit, the event will also mark the launch of Prismatic, a zine produced by the Lynn queer community. The first issue focuses on trans rights and the need for adequate support for trans children, a crucial topic in today’s society.

2. Opening Reception | “Music In Movement”

During your visit to Lynn, don’t miss the “Music In Movement” exhibit. Also hosted by GALA, this exhibit explores the intersection of music and visual art, encouraging artists to visually express their musical inspirations. This exhibit will run concurrently with the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag & Color Symbolism exhibit from June 2 – July 12.

Just like the previous exhibit, this gallery is open on Saturdays from 11 am-5 pm and Thursdays from 1-4 pm, making it an excellent addition to your Lynn visit itinerary.

3. Prismatic Launch Party

Finally, make sure to join the Prismatic Launch Party on June 2nd, from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm during your Lynn visit. This event celebrates the debut of the Prismatic zine, intended to uplift and showcase the talents of LGBTQ+ writers and artists. The launch is scheduled alongside the opening reception of the “The LGBTQ+ Pride Flag & Color Symbolism” exhibit.
