PTC Community Conversations: Afro Diaspora

Building on the conversations started at the Afro Diaspora festival Prevent The Cycle is holding five more community conversations that will dig deeper into the question who makes up the Afro Diaspora community. These conversations are part of our efforts to unify our local community, by holding discussions about what often divides us.

What Does African Diaspora Unity Look Like? – January 12
Deepen our understanding of the Afro-Diaspora and what it looks like to work together.

History of The African American Experience in Lynn – February 9
Join us for a discussion on of the African American experience in Lynn.

What is Race? What is Culture? -What is Racism? – March 9
Join us as we discuss race, racism and culture differences and their effect on community building.

Who are the African Descendants in Lynn- The African Diaspora – April 13
We take a deeper dive into Lynn African Diaspora

Where do we go from here? – May 11
This session will focus on how we will move forward-together.
