Opening Reception | GALA’s “GREEN”
April 7 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
GALA will display artwork that speaks about the idea of GREEN as the color, as the environment and protecting animals, plants, air and water. Other pieces of artwork may talk about GREEN as in envy or money, but we really do not know what exactly will inspire our artists!! It’s always a surprise!
GALA is hosting an Opening Reception on April 7th 5:30 – 7:30pm.
There will be entertainment and an opportunity to meet the exhibiting artists. We’ll have a sharing table with food and beverages.
Gallery Hours throughout April and May are on Saturday 11:00-5:00 and Thursday 1:00-4:00 by appointment and by chance.

CALL FOR ART
GALA is currently seeking artwork by local artists for an exhibit called GREEN. In this exhibit we are looking for submissions that are a reaction to the color or idea(s) of “Green”. Respond to this by creating artwork that features the color or concept Green. According to color psychology the color green is often associated with nature, luck, money, health and envy. The color green is also known to bring us tranquility and also motivate us. What comes to mind for you when you think of the color green? Coincidentally, Earth Day happens to be on April 22nd, 2023, during the time of this exhibit. We would welcome your artwork that celebrates green as a metaphor for the Green Movement as a symbol for saving the environment or part of the planet.
