Author Dany Acosta is the NSCC commencement Speaker Class of 2018. He is also a nationwide motivational speaker from Mexico, who struggled through homelessness, chronic kidney failure, going blind, a stroke and two seizures, a projected three months of life, and having both eyes removed.
On February 1, 2022, Dany published his first book “Blindly Painting Words of Love – A Poet’s Adventure”, a cinematic collection of romantic poetry perfect for all those meant to be cuddlers going through a splendor of experiences! Dany dedicated his book to “young people everywhere looking for love …and to my future wife.” With titles like ‘Writing With Chalk On Saturn’s Rings’, ‘Moonlit Phoenixes’ and ‘Skipping Off Into Blue Moon Eclipses’ this collection fits perfectly in every reader’s bookshelf.
What Makes his book special?
All proceeds from “Blindly Painting Words of Love” are donated to help immigrant parents of children with disabilities, families who lost their loved one’s to varying crisis in the US and Latinx countries, and donate books to prisons, libraries, and underserved communities.
Come to hear Dany share his poetry! “I may not have sight, but I have vision for life!” -Dany Acosta
