Our workshop instructor, Barbara Rozavsky, HonNEC, has been a member of GLPA since 1971. She has served as secretary, vice president, and president at various times and is currently the membership chair. Barbara has taught a basic camera course at North Shore Community College for more than 30 years.
Doors will open at 8:30am and thre will be a short break for lunch. Plenty of parking behind club or in church lot next door to club. LIMITED to 24 Attendees.
Topics to be covered include explanations of white balance, ISO, shutter speed, and aperture along with what each control. In addition, there will be a discussion of the exposure triangle and how to use exposure compensation. Program modes and using manual mode will complete this portion of the workshop.
The discussion will then turn to lenses: what the lens specs mean, when to use various focal lengths, and how to change them. This portion of the workshop will also touch on using filters to enhance your images.
The workshop will conclude with a session on downloading images to your computer and how to resize images for competition. If there is time, there will be a Q & A block.
