9th Annual Lynn Shore Showdown

Enjoy a beautiful day at the beach and experience beach wrestling! Lynn Shore Showdown is about having fun. After all, we’re at the beach. We have widely different levels of experience here. Compete, but remember where you are. And be safe! Keep yourself hydrated and be careful about overheating.
- Wrestlers compete in ring with diameter of 7m (23 feet) in the sand.
- First wrestler to three points wins (no fall).
- One point for a takedown or push-out (opponent goes out of bounds).
- Two points for a takedown with back exposure. There’s no wrestling on the ground, wrestlers return to neutral after any scoring.
- One period, maximum of three minutes.
- If tied after three minutes, sudden death overtime.
- No striking, heat-butting, biting, throwing sand or other unsportsmanlike conduct. Any instance will result in immediate default and disqualification from the tournament.
- Wrestlers wear swimwear/shorts/workout gear and wrestle barefoot. No slippery substances on skin.

Walk In Registration: $40
Parking at Lynn Shore & Nahant Beach Reservation
- Daily parking fees at Nahant Beach, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m (May 25 – October 14)
- Mobile payments accepted via the YODEL app
- MA residents = $10
- Non-MA residents = $40
- Street parking available along Lynn Shore Drive.
- Resident and non resident status is determined by the vehicle license plate
